Where clay becomes marble - every piece is
one of a kind.
Not painted. Not repeated. Born inside the clay.
Nerikomi is an ancient Japanese ceramic method where patterns are not painted, but born inside the clay itself. Layers of colored clay are stacked, cut, and reassembled — and each cut reveals a design as unrepeatable as marble in nature.
It is a demanding, delicate, and time-consuming process. Each piece requires days of work, and every result is unique in the world. In Japan, Nerikomi is regarded as one of the most prestigious and valuable ceramic arts. Entire exhibitions and competitions are dedicated to it, and pieces made in this way are considered treasures — artistry worth its weight in gold.
You can explore the entire process in this video - from raw clay to the finished marble cup.
Exclusivity & Availability.
